    With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Ben co-founded Private Capital Group in 2003 to better fulfill the needs of clients with a “Serve First” philosophy. Ben worked as the Regional Director of Investments for CIGNA/Lincoln Financial Services from 1988 to 2003, gaining industry and practice knowledge from two leading financial institutions.

    He currently resides in Simsbury, CT with his wife and has four children.

    As a founder of Private Capital Group, Bill specializes in comprehensive financial planning to include investment, retirement, estate, charitable, and business succession planning. His goal is to consolidate and coordinate client’s finances into a simple, economical and effective plan to meet their objectives. He began his career in 1993 with CIGNA Financial Advisors (later to become Sagemark) eventually rising to the position of Regional CEO for Sagemark. He is an Investment Advisor Representative with PCG.

    Wendy joined Private Capital Group, LLC at its start in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Wendy spent three years at Lincoln Financial Advisors as the Investment Coordinator/Registered Principal. Wendy offers over 16 years of financial services industry experience. As the Operations and Office Manager, she handles a myriad of issues for the firm. She works to keep the office running smoothly, from staffing and compliance, to bookkeeping and beyond. Wendy currently resides in Simsbury, CT with her husband and two children.

  • Marc E. Austin, CFP®, CPA

    Marc joined PCG in May 2004 as an Investment Advisor Representative with PCG and a Registered Representative with NFP Advisor Services, LLC a Certified Public Accountant since 1987, Marc joined CIGNA financial Advisors (later to become Sagemark consulting) in 1989 as a Financial Advisor. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and is an active member of both the Personal Financial Planning Committee and the Hartford Estate and Business Planning Council. Marc is on the Quinnipiac University Athletic Board. Marc specialized in investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning. His focus is on the overall goals and objectives of his clients and to construct an individual plan to meet their objectives. Marc is actively involved in sports. Marc lives with his wife Patty and their two children, Megan and Matthew, in Berlin, CT.

    Joining PCG in 2005 as a Financial Advisor, Neil’s responsibilities soon expanded to support the team with the Wealth Management Software, compliance and supervisory responsibility. Currently, Neil is an Investment Advisor Representative with PCG.

    Neil began his post graduate career as Regional Accountant for Sunrise Healthcare, a nursing care facility. In 1999, he started his financial planning career at Waddell & Reed as an advisor. In 2003, he moved to an independent advisory firm Capital Financial Planning, LLC.

    Neil’s primary focus is on wealth management and retirement planning.

    Amy joined PCG in 2014 as a Financial Advisor. Amy works with a variety of clients by assisting them with organizing and committing to their financial goals. Amy has a special interest in helping women, especially women in transition due to retirement, divorce, or a death in the family, because of their unique financial needs. Amy is also the primary resource in the firm for wealth management planning and investment research selection.

    Amy came to PCG after 16 years with Webster Bank, N.A. Most recently she worked with Webster Private Bank as a Relationship Manager and Wealth Advisor in the Hartford market. Amy is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Tunxis Community College Foundation in Farmington, and is a member of the Board of Corporators for Hartford’s iQuilt Plan. Amy is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Estate & Business Planning Council of Greater Hartford and an active member of the Connecticut Women's Council.

    A Philadelphia native, Julie came to PCG with a wealth of experience in marketing and implementation consulting. Having joined Private Capital Group in 2014, she enjoys putting her organizational and time management skills to work in an environment that greatly depends on it. Julie works tirelessly to meet the daily needs of our clients. Whether at work or spending time with her husband, Zig, and her two children, Lorelei and Christopher, she lives by the ethos, “having a smile on your face is a good compliment to life, but putting a smile on another’s face by your efforts is the best compliment to life.”

    With a background in speech and language pathology, Kathryn’s career has been spent invested in the needs of others. Kathryn received a B.A. in Communication Sciences at the University of Connecticut in 2012 and has applied her interpersonal skills to the financial field with great effect. Kathryn believes the best way to predict the future is to create it. She strives to provide exceptional service to our clients daily. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, dining out, and traveling.

    Christina joined Private Capital Group in 2015 after interning with them the previous summer. She enjoyed learning many aspects of the financial business world and thrives working in an environment that makes a tangible and positive impact on other people’s lives. Christina works behind the scenes working in compliance, client billing, and portfolio management. She brought a new life to our website and social media presence. She is a recent graduate from Bentley University. Her major was Managerial Economics with a concentration in Marketing and she held a minor in Health & Industry.

    Samantha is the first point of contact for our clients. Either by phone or in person, Samantha is ready to assist. She plays an integral role in PCG's daily workflow as she provides support for the Client Service Associates and Financial Advisors. A New York native, Samantha received a B.A. in Psychology at the University at Albany. Prior to joining the PCG team, Samantha worked as an administrative assistant for three years, at one of the largest law firms in upstate New York. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Steven and puppy, Moose.
