At Private Capital Group, we take tremendous pride in our employees and their successes. We believe it is important to showcase our group of hardworking individuals who are dedicated, committed, and driven to providing our clients with the best possible service and care. Today in PCG’s Get to Know Us Wednesday, we highlight Ben Kille, our Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Wealth Manager.

In our final installment of our Wednesday feature, we are proud to share Ben’s story. Ben grew up in Libertyville, Illinois, and after graduating from the University of Arizona with a double major in Finance and Real Estate, Ben settled in the New England area to practice financial planning and wealth management. He and his wife, Paula, made Connecticut home, residing here for 30-plus years, raising their four children, Madison, Morgan, Ashton, and Mary, all now young adults. Although three of their children have recently settled in Boston and New York City, the Kille home is grounded in values and the love for and embracing the importance of family. Ben and Paula eagerly welcome regular visits from their children at their home in Simsbury, although the kids seem most happy to see the two dogs, Winston and Finnegan.

After devoting the first 15 years of his career to gaining invaluable industry and practice knowledge at CIGNA and Lincoln Financial Services, two leading financial institutions, Ben then branched out, believing that there was a better way to achieve and fulfill the needs of clients. He was inspired and prepared to make a change and create a firm where a team could offer services and build relationships in a way that aligned with his client-first philosophy. In 2003, Ben opened the doors to Private Capital Group, founded with the very same “Serve First” mission that PCG is proud to continue to uphold today, nearly two decades later.

Ben knows the importance of understanding each client’s unique financial situation, and providing sound, educated guidance and support in working toward their specific financial and investment needs, goals and objectives. PCG is not only fortunate to work with so many fine individual clients but is also privileged to have a trusted relationship with many non-profit and endowment foundations. Perhaps more importantly, Ben believes by fostering lasting relationships with clients, built on trust and expertise, we at PCG will provide financial peace of mind that our valued clients expect and deserve. Now with more than 30 years of experience under his belt, Ben continues to be passionate and energized by his work, striving every day to deliver consummate care and expert financial advice to our clients. His genuine, thoughtful dedication to our clients stokes the charge, outfitting his leadership of our team, and we strive to follow his example.

Ben’s drive and focus to collaborate and guide individuals, foundations and families to achieve their financial security extends beyond just a professional philosophy. He believes in the importance of giving back to his community and actively participating, namely, in the greater Hartford area and Connecticut, his home. To note a few, Ben is a member and former board member at Auerfarm, an organization that helps inspire children and adults to engage in, learn about, and enjoy agriculture, science, and our natural environment. He is involved in Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps people in the community and around the world build or improve a place they can call home. Inspired by the communal spirit, each year Ben gathers a group of PCGers to roll up their sleeves and humbly partake in building a home slated for a family in need. And, Ben is a proud volunteer for Junior Achievement, a nonprofit that helps inspire and prepare young people for success. On the athletic side of the fence, Ben, along with his son, Ashton, will ride 211 miles and raise money for the PAN-MASS Challenge in August, a bike-a-thon fundraiser and awareness booster for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 2021 marks the third year the Killes will participate in the PMC event which is the single largest athletic fundraising event in the country, and they look forward to the event with determination and smiles very year.

We could go on, sharing what we’ve come to learn and respect about Ben, but we’ll stop here and welcome you to give him a call or send him an email to find out more about him, his background and qualifications, and his involvement in the community. He’d be delighted to connect with you.
