At Private Capital Group, we take tremendous pride in our employees and their successes. We believe it is important to showcase the group of hard-working individuals we have. Our employees are extremely dedicated, committed, and driven to provide our clients with the best possible service and care. In this week’s edition of PCG’s Get To Know Us Wednesday, we will highlight our current Associate Advisor, Matthew Pranaitis.

Born and bred in Windsor, CT, Matt joined Private Capital Group in early 2019 after spending three years at Fiduciary Investment Advisors as a Research Analyst, working with endowments, foundations, and defined benefit plans. Matt currently assists Private Capital Group’s financial advisors and their clients with portfolio construction and their investment management needs.

         Matt Pranaitis

When asked about his experience working at PCG, Matt believes that working as closely with the advisors “allows him to learn from well-seasoned and experienced advisors who specialize in many different aspects of financial planning, estate planning, and wealth management.”

Although Matt spent most of his early life in Hartford County, he decided to venture outside of Connecticut to attend college at Seton Hall University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Finance. Matt thoroughly enjoyed his experience at Seton Hall University and still donates regularly to his alma mater. His love for financial education did not stop once he left South Orange, New Jersey, though. Matt believes that continuing to expand his knowledge in anything financial will allow him to better service his future clients. Matt has successfully passed his Series 65 and CFA Level I and II tests. He hopes to add the Chartered Financial Analyst, otherwise known as CFA, designation next to his name, as he prepares to take the CFA Level III examination later this summer. The CFA designation is a highly coveted designation, where only 38% of all applicants pass all three levels and obtain the credential.

When he is not devoting time to his career, Matt enjoys anything sports related. During the past few months, he even decided to build an “at-home” putting green to work on his golf short-game. He hopes to translate his at home putting practice into shedding a few strokes off his overall scorecard at the local green. Matt also tries to attend as many baseball, college basketball, and hockey games as he can, and is especially fond of New York Rangers games.

Private Capital Group is extremely excited to have Matt as a part of our team. His dedication and commitment to assisting the advisors in servicing their clients and continuing his financial education will propel him into becoming the best financial advisor he can be for his clients. We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Matt both at PCG and beyond! We hope you can meet Matt in person and learn a little more about his story when we are able to have you back in the office.
