New Adventures Slated for PCG 2020 Interns
Greetings from your friends here at Private Capital Group. We hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving and the holiday weekend, however you celebrated this year. With the holiday season officially in full swing, we’d like to share some glad tidings with you. This past summer, PCG introduced its internship program, designed to allow interested and qualified individuals the opportunity to explore our office workings and gain hands-on experience. Our 2020 interns, Haley Carangelo and Domenico Cirielli, tackled projects and learned the ins and outs of our departments at PCG, gaining holistic understanding of how our financial firm operates and our mission to deliver superior service to our clients. And they did so in an unexpected way, and what has become characteristic of 2020 – 100% remote!
We caught up with Haley and Dom as they are closing out semesters at their respective schools. Both earned new internship opportunities for next summer and plan to use what they learned during their time with us at PCG and apply to their new roles and expand their knowledge base. We are excited for both Haley and Dom and will to continue to follow and share their journeys as they venture toward a career choice well-suited for each.
Haley Carangelo earned placement in The Travelers Insurance Company Finance Leadership and Development Program. She explained that the program will consist of assigned projects that focus on financial reporting and modeling, cost/benefit investigation, financial planning and analysis, auditing and financial controls, and budgeting and forecasting. Haley is intrigued by the challenges and new experience a large corporate finance environment is certain to deliver.
Domenico Cirielli accepted an offer with American International Group, Inc. (AIG), in its finance department. With specific program details still to be determined, Dom knows that his active participation will center around AIG’s distinct aspects of business: corporate finance, general insurance, life and retirement finance, tax advisory and strategy and treasury. With dedicated focus in each area, undoubtedly Dom will develop his understanding, increase his network and enjoy the opportunity to explore the many career possibilities financial services has to offer.
Haley and Dom impressed us and set a gold-star standard for future interns at PCG. Each of their work ethics, enthusiasm and desire to accept and execute tasks speaks to her and his drive to learn more and be an active member in the industry or whichever path she or he chooses. With our inaugural internship program in the books, please stay tuned for our announcement of two new go-getters who earned positions in our Summer 2021 program.
As always, we thank you for your continued trust in Private Capital Group. We wish you great health, safety and a warm and blessed holiday season.
